Every spring, Legal Services for Prisoners with Children (LSPC) / All of Us or None organizes a statewide lobby day in Sacramento for formerly-incarcerated people and family members with incarcerated loved ones along with allied community leaders and activists.
Quest for Democracy Advocacy Day on May 8, supports pending legislation that affects people impacted by incarceration and lifts up the voices and leadership of those most impacted by the prison industrial complex.
SURJ is supporting this mobilization through a major fundraising effort. Here's what your donations will support:
• $25 covers the cost of meals for a formerly-incarcerated person to participate in the Quest for Democracy Advocacy Day• $50 covers the cost of one seat on the bus to get to Sacramento• $170 covers the cost for a formerly-incarcerated person and a family member to participate in the pre-lobby day training on May 7 (lodging, meals and transportation)• $2500 covers the cost of one bus
100% of funds raised here will go directly to LSPC / All of Us or None for the May 8th mobilization. Any donation - no matter how small or large - will make a difference in meeting our goal.
Thank you for joining with SURJ to show our solidarity with LSPC / All of Us or None's mobilization of people most impacted by the prison industrial complex.
